SikaTack® ELITE is a new poly-urethane-based accelerated adhesive system specially designed for the auto glass replacement (AGR ) industry, the company says. The product utilizes Sika’s Power-Cure technology to cure rapidly from inside the bead, achieving Minimum Drive-Away Time (MDAT) in 30 minutes and rein-forces car bodies to the level of a new vehicle within just one hour. This 60 minute OEM Level Cure sets a new performance standard for AGR adhesives, allowing technicians to provide vehicle owners with the safest windshield replacement service available, the company says. SikaTack® ELITE is packaged in 400 ml unipacks and is applied using the 400 ml PowerCure Dispenser.

SaniTise with Pilkington
NSG launched Pilkington SaniTise, a trans-parent coated glass designed to help create a healthy, clean, safe world. According to the company, the pyrolytic coating is naturally activated through UV exposure from daylight, allowing it to provide antimicrobial properties and activity against enveloped viruses on the glass surface. Independent third-party testing shows SaniTise provides protection for shared/high-touch surfaces that have natural UV expo-sure, according to the company. Ideal applications include interior insulating glass unit (IGU) surfaces in school buses, trains, shuttle buses and marine glazings. The product is available in multiple tints, and thicknesses. The pyrolytic online coating can be tempered, laminated, bent or processed.

The website Frogitout.com is now online and available for technicians to view The Frog, which the tool’s creators say is a smooth operating tool for easy, safe and damage free windshield removal. Collin Walton and Jacques Navant of Don’s Mobile Glass in Merced, Calif., saw a need for a wire-out tool that would not damage or scratch a vehicle then developed this tool for technicians.
