See You in San Antonio
By Troy Mason
Auto Glass Week™ is approaching quickly, and the program is filled with educational opportunities, chances to network and more. In addition, the National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) has a number of events and get-togethers planned for the event and we hope to see you there.
Auto Glass Week will be held in San Antonio, Texas, September 27-29 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
Members’ Lunch
On Friday, September 28, we will hold a special members’ luncheon for members only. We will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. over lunch to discuss the NWRA’s latest programs, plans for the year and more. Among these, the NWRA recently launched a legislative program. Additionally, the NWRA’s Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard™ (ROLAGS) Committee and Break Identification Standard (BIS) Committee have been working constantly to maintain the ROLAGS Standard and to get the ANSI/NWRA/BIS 001-2018, respectively, ready for publication.
During the lunch, attendees can speak directly with board members and each other about these programs and more.
Contact Janeen Mulligan at jmulligan@glass.com to attend.
Training Time
Additionally, the NWRA will offer an NWRA repair certifi cation training course on Saturday, September 29. The course will be led by Korey Gobin of Delta Kits and Aric Haarala of Glass Mechanix.
The training and exam are free to both NWRA members and Auto Glass Week participants. Those not participating in Auto Glass Week can attend the training course for $49 per technician.
Technicians will have the choice of taking the test on-site after the training, or taking the test online within 30 days.
The training will run from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the exam will be given from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants also will have the option of taking the exam at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday or receiving a coupon to take the exam within 30 days.
We hope many technicians will take advantage of this valuable (and free!) opportunity.
