Miracle Grow Spring 2024

AGRR’s 2024 Top Retailers Advance in Challenging Times

By Abby Bowman

AGRR selected several companies from its 2024 Top Automotive Glass Retailers in North America list that stood out for their remarkable revenue growth since the last edition in 2022.

Our Methodology

We selected companies that submitted their own information to us or companies that are large enough to have publically available data. To give a full picture of the industry, AGRR selected companies from multiple revenue brackets. Using this criteria, we identified several companies that achieved a high percentage of growth since the 2022 list and reached out to them for more information. The companies represented below are those that meet our selection criteria and responded to our requests for comment. The research division of Key Media & Research, the parent company of AGRR magazine, assisted in gathering and compiling the data and information necessary to select the Fastest Growing Retailers.

Fastest Growing Dealers

Driven Brands (Paint, Glass & Collision Segment) | Charlotte, North Carolina

Driven Brands is the parent company of several automotive services brands worldwide. One of those companies is U.S.-based Auto Glass Now, which it acquired in 2022. From its 2022 paint, collision and glass sector (PC&G) revenue of $410.9 million to its 2023 revenue of $500.4, Driven Brands’ PC&G revenue grew 21.7%.

Texan Glass & Solar Control | The Woodlands, Texas

Texan Glass & Solar Control’s growth is something in which the company’s president, Dave Duensing, takes great pride. “I started out in May 2000 as one man and one truck,” he says. “Now we are over 75 people in five cities with soon-to-be seven locations.” The company grew in revenue along with its size and reach. It was in the $5‑10 million revenue range and 24th place in AGRR’s 2022 Top Retailers List. For 2024, Texan Glass sits in eighth place and the $10‑25 million category. According to Duensing, Texan Glass has averaged about 20% growth per year over the past couple of years. He attributes his company’s success to the company’s “incredible team.” “This is truly a team event, utilizing everyone’s unique skills to achieve a shared goal: to be the best and deliver exceptional service to our customers,” Duensing says.

Quackt Glass | Charleston, South Carolina

Patricia Smiley, president of Quackt Glass, attributes much of the company’s growth over the past couple of years to focusing on safety and service. “Our company made a conscious effort to not focus on anything but those two pillars,” she says. “Exceeding your customers’ expectations creates brand loyalty.” Quackt Glass is 22nd in AGRR’s 2024 Top Retailers List and in the $5‑10 million range. Smiley reports a revenue growth of about $2.1 million or 55% total over the past two years. The company has locations in North and South Carolina, where Smiley anticipates more growth in the future because more people are moving there. Naturally, more people means more cars. “If we have more cars on the road, (that means) more opportunities for people who need auto glass work,” she says. Smiley hopes Quackt Glass will become “an independent powerhouse in the Southeast.”

Auto Glass Solutions | Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Auto Glass Solutions manager Shak Lila gives several practical reasons for the company’s revenue growth over the past few years. “I would suggest it’s based on organic growth coming out of the pandemic, more expensive windshields with more safety features and an increasing population,” he says. Lila says Auto Glass Solutions’ revenue increased by about 25% in 2022 and 20% in 2023. AGRR’s Top Retailers list for 2024 puts the shop 36th and in the $2‑5 million range. Lila anticipates more growth in the future. “We are looking forward to continued growth in our market by priding ourselves on quality work,” he says. “We always anticipate growth. Always looking ahead!”
